DESCRIPTION
The Shift Management doctypes in ERPNext System helps you efficiently manage shifts for your employees. 



REMINDER

Make sure that Holiday List has been setup.



Step 1:

On the search bar, type Shit Type List


Step 2:
Click Add Shift Type button 



Step 2:
Input the required details



Holiday List - Allows the system to recognize which dates are holidays.

Break Schedules - Allows the system to recognize overbreak (This is configured separately.)

Has Night Differential - Tick the checkbox to enable the computation of night differential.

Is Overnight - Tick the checkbox to enable this setting if the shift is overnight. This allows the system to capture overnight attendance.


Tick Has Flexible Schedule if the shift is flexible. - This will let the employee to check in on a certain time along with the required check out based on the declared timeslots and required working hours.

Click Add Row to input additional flexible timeslots


Define the total hours of the time slots in the Required Working Hours field.

Tick the checkbox to select the time slot(s) you wish to remove.


Click Delete.



Step 3: (Optional-use only if Grace period is needed)
Tick Enable Entry Grace Period - Input the number of minutes allowed

Tick Enable Exit Grace Period - Input the number of minutes allowed 

Tick Late or Undertime Deduction Includes Grace Period - to include the declared grace period as undertime deduction




Step 4:
Click Save
